How we handle your data
This page summarises, in English, how personal data submitted through this website is handled. The Latvian version is the authoritative text — where the two differ, the Latvian privacy policy governs.
Who is responsible
The data controller is SIA “Dare to be great” (registration number 40203287956), Kronvalda bulvāris 1, Riga, Latvia, trading as Acton Academy Riga. For any question about your data, or to exercise any of the rights below, write to info@actonriga.org.
What we collect and why
- Contact forms. Name, email address, telephone number, the age of your child if you give it, and anything you write in the message. We use this only to answer you and to run the admission conversation. The legal basis is your consent, and for an active admission process the steps taken at your request before a contract.
- Downloads. If you request a guide or an information pack, we use your email address to send it and to follow up once. The basis is consent.
- Site analytics. Aggregate, cookie-free traffic measurement. No profile of you is built and nothing is shared with advertising networks.
We ask for a child’s age, not a child’s name or any other detail about them. Forms are intended to be completed by a parent or guardian, and we ask for no more than we need to answer sensibly.
How long we keep it, and your rights
Enquiries that do not lead to enrolment are kept for up to two years and then deleted, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Data connected to an enrolled family is kept for as long as the law governing schools in Latvia requires.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. Write to info@actonriga.org and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to Latvia’s Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija).
